Lift Shaft Extension from 14 levels to 15 levels with over-run in New Malden, SW London

On this project we have demolished the top of an existing shaft whilst the building is live. We used a method of sawing and hand crunching to keep the noise and vibration to a minimum. Our steel team installed a new steel frame to extend the lift shaft to serve another level and provide the required over-run. Our buildersworks team have also constructed the over-run roof and built the new lift walls and formed the new door openings.

All in a tight space whilst maintaining the existing live lift motor room!
