J&I have successfully completed the precise cutting of structural columns to allow acoustic bearings to be installed. Higher demands on building performance means acoustic isolation is becoming increasingly popular. Working closely with PHL Hydraulics who completed the temporary jacking and monitoring works, a 160mm section of the RC column was cut and removed out of each column with a max tolerance of 5mm. J&I used their Hilti TS-20 Hi-frequency track saw to complete this and provided a smooth and flat surface for the follow on trades.
